Wow, what a fulfilling year indeed Accomplished more than 50% of my 2010 new year resolution! What an accomplishment. Great job reen, pat on my own back! One more week to the end of 2011 & it’s time to start preparing and celebrating for the coming of 2012! Just a lil’ short post, will post about my 2012 new year resolution in the next post! Shall do some online shopping now! Heh.

As much as we suan each other ever since I know you 3-4 years back in church, you’re one of the buddies whom I can turn to when I need a listening ear or just a complaining outlet. You don’t judge, you listen, you give suggestions, you provide help whenever needed, you are an awesome suanning opponent… What else can I ask for but a buddy like you!


Thanks for all the company along the years (kite flying, guitar teaching, arcade buddy HAHAHA, digging gossips from you, waffle factorying, xmas exchange, forcing you to say out your girls secrets hehe, sending you buaybah spamming smses like there’s no tomorrow, attempts to throw you down the pool unsuccessful till date… and many more lol I’m too lazy to think of more) Since I’ve no more image infront of you, I don’t bother keeping up with one when I’m with you hahaha. That’s when I can switch personality to my chor lor self and still be comfortable with it HAHA. Thanks for everything man haha I really appreciate it, even though I don’t say/show it la haha. My suannings are signs of appreciation at times y’know!

It’s once again the best month of the year! Hurray! God knows how long I’ve been waiting for the arrival of this beautiful month. Can’t wait for my 1 week Christmas break! Finally a week off internship! But then again, it’s back to the topic of fretting over Christmas presents for loved ones a round!


My expensive Christmas (back up: CNY) wishlist (that isn’t coming true so I’m putting CNY as a backup since I’ll be richer during CNY period hehe)

“No one ever gets tired of loving. But everyone gets tired of waiting, assuming, hearing lies, saying sorry and hurting.” Not much of the lying and hurting (directly) part though. But yes, I do get tired of waiting, assuming and saying sorry. It’s hard to love and accept like Jesus does, doesn’t He ever gets tired of people rejecting Him and even going to the extend of crucifying Him, inflicting physical and mental torture on Him. I’m sorry, but I do. Jesus’s so amazing, how much of rejection and hurt can a person withhold? I’m called to be the light of the world, child of God, an ambassador of Christ. How am I supposed to reach the standard of that? Sometimes, I feel so inadequate and unworthy. But God’s still good, unfaithful the way He always was/is/yet to come. Thank God for the constant joy that He has been pouring into my life. God and His unwavering love makes me smile, from the bottom of my heart. In times like these, I am so thankful that I still have Him to hold on to in my life. People might fail you, friends might, family might, but God never fails.

I wish I’ve ample time to sit down through an entire post to express my current thoughts and emotions about certain ongoing issues about this simple 4 letters word – life. I just need an outlet to put all my thoughts into words but I’m afraid of letting my emotions take hold of me, I’m afraid of saying spiteful words in a fit of pique and confusion state of mind.

Emotions taking me over.. Sigh, let’s just blame it on the time of the month.

We Run SG 10K – Nike City Run!



Guess what’s this!



Olah! It’s a thumbdrive!

So.. To award us for accomplishing the torturous run this morning, (hydrating points were everywhere! It was too tempting for me) Nike decided to give us a thumbdrive as a reward! Say whattttt? I’d rather get a medal or something as compared to something redundant. But oh well, at least the thumbdrive with a Nike shoe as it’s covering is pretty impressive, not to mention, creative!


It was a pretty decent run! I think I took around an hour 10-15 minutes or so? Didn’t achieve my dream ideal timing of 1 hour (life is about dreaming big… OKAY!) The hydrating points along the run were really tempting! Half of the time when I passed by the hydrating point, I’ve to either grab a cup and zoom off, or not grab any drink at all! If not.. History will repeat itself again. There’s this high tendency of me drinking cups of 100 plus and station myself at hydrating point for like 3 minutes taking a break before running again. (Proven by adidas KOTR run lol). Almost died a lil’ when I had to forsake the 3rd hydrating point to keep up with Xan’s bro and friend’s pace! Hahahaha I should have totally stop at that hydrating point and sip my 100plus like some tai tai instead of being a girl with such high level of determination. Hahaha kiddinggggggg I was never a girl with high level of determination lol.



OVERJOYYYYYYYYYYYY! Saw my group of Nike folks! Man, I totally miss working at Nike. Being an intern is just.. awkward and tiring.



SO CUTE! Crazy people that shuffle around the Nike Store, doing all sort of crazy things – when the store is still in operating hours lol. THIS IS WHAT WE DO THE BEST- We are the elements of fun!


Had tauhuay at some old airport road place before heading home to be a bum and nua. What a wasted Sunday doing nothing hahah I wanna get some good food and catch some nice movies but everyone’s too lazy to leave home! Xan’s pretty tired after the run so we went our separate ways.. Back to our individual homes to laze the day off.


Speaking about wasting my day away, here’s a list of movie that I wanna watch! (Can’t see any link between these two points.. oh well)

Yup that’s all! Top of my to-watch list will be Real Steel followed by Smurf and First Grader! I wonder when will I’ve to time to watch these movies. I need my life back, life as a poly student or a bum!


Feeling so lazy now, think I’ll just watch a movie and spend the remaining hours of this beautiful Sunday being a lazy ass.

Day 11 of an intern.

Disclaimer: This’s a totally redundant post.

And so, a beautiful Sunday like today marks the 11th day of my internship! Well done Doreen neo, a great start to a journey unknown destination for the next 5 months! On the other hand, Westlife concert is tomorrow! In less than 24 hours! Oh man I can’t wait! Please let my red infected eye to recover by tomorrow! I need a clearer vision of the guys on stage ; )

Happy Intern

And so, 19th of September 2011 marks the end of my 2-weeks holiday freedom and the start of my 5-months internship at Mediacorp as a happy intern!

Stuffs I did to chillax abit la before my internship!

Celebrated my dad birthday with cookies I baked the week before!


Playing around haji lane with Bet and Ack enjoying like tai tais without any worries before internship!

Sending Josh off to Hawaii and staying out overnight with the usual gang! .. Walking around town from 4am-5am looking for breakfast is.. a once in a lifetime thing for me!

Other than my workload and working environment which is pretty acceptable till date, the journey to my workplace is a torture. Singapore public transport system is the bane of my existence as an intern, all the way in Thomson road/Toapayoh area. How irony it is for SG transport system to hike up the price for buses and trains and not improve it’s services for buses and trains?! This doesn’t make any logical sense at all. Alright, maybe there’s great improvement to the train system (judging from tweets in my timeline by all my angsty friends) in regards to the frequency of the trains, that’s good to know!


BUT

SMRT and SBS buses can really be a major pain in the neck at times, especially when you’re in a rush! The frequency of each buses are becoming from bad to worse. Today, I waited half an hour 2 for my buses (I can take either one and yet none of them came within that half hour!). Today, again, I waited for 20 minutes for a bus in the interchange and the bus was full, thus not all the people queuing up in line in the interchange got to hop on the bus. Worse still, because of the overload bus, the bus driver drove past the first 5 bus stops without stopping (I don’t blame the bus driver because the bus was already full!) People who were waiting at the first few bus stops were full of angst, it was easy to tell that they were secretly cursing and swearing in their hearts. Some of the grumpier ones, eg old uncles or aunties, displayed certain gestures to the bus driver while he drove past the bus stops without stopping.


Frankly speaking, I felt pretty guilty at that point of time but what can I do? I don’t get the logic of increasing our travelling fare expenses and not providing us with an optimum service, or the frequency of buses in this scenario. And the population in this country… Pretty overwhelming for a little island represented by a little dot in the world map huh? Let’s not even go into the population topic, or worse – the foreigners in our country occupying this little land of ours, and our university places, and our ricebowls, and our jobs… And the list goes on and on.


Pardon me, I just need to voice some stuff out and get it off my chest. Anyway, back to being a happy intern!


It feels pretty good to be back at Mediacorp, a place where I somewhat grew up in. There is this sense of familiarity, but at the same time, I feel pretty foreign in the department I’m in. Thank God for Janine! She has been helping me so much during work and teaching me so much! It’ll take some time for me to learn the ropes and get use to things around but I’m pretty sure I’ll do a good job for it! Well, at least I’ll try my best! Internship is the best period of time when you get to learn new stuff and gain experience.. As a happy intern! People are also more than willing to teach you stuff while on the job. Hope that things get even better as months goes by.


Pretty mundane working life of mine. Will blog when I get to on my laptop the next time! Bed-time now, night folks!
